  • The Swiss Assistance Dog Center opened.
  • The German Assistance Dog Center T.A.R.S.Q. has trained an assistance dog for the first time for a woman in London (UK).

  • The Assistance Dog Center T.A.R.S.Q ® becomes an international organization, opening worldwide locations in the coming years. The European headquarter of the Assistance Dog Center is opened in England.

  • The German parliament puts funding for sexual abuse towards the complete costs of training a PTSD assistance dog for the first time.
  • Der Weiße Ring (Germany) takes on the cost of training a PTSD assistance dog for the first time.

  • Insurance in Germany takes on the training of epilepsy seizure dogs.

2011

  • The German Assistance Dog Center trains the first assistance dog for a woman with schizophrenia.
  • An assistance dog, which was trained in owner training accompanied by an assistance dog trainer as a diabetes alert dog at the German Assistance Dog Center, is the first ever assistance dog to receive authorization, while still in training and before the exam, to travel with a type 1 diabetic in the cabin of a flight from Cologne to Munich.
  • The first Lollie® puppies are born and begin the training to become diabetes alert dogs. Lollie® is the specially bred assistance dog breed at the assistance dog breeding program.
  • The German Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs approves bringing a diabetes alert dog from the German Assistance Dog Center to a general school on a daily basis.
